just what i needed when i needed it. works great. compared to others that are free this one is the best!

Better to use this app for short videos.

It does not work for files with ,dat extension

Most of the video converter apps available in the app store can only handle the simplest, most basic conversions. But when you’ve got something slightly trickier for them to do, THEY GIVE UP BEFORE EVEN STARTING! You’ll get a message such as “Failed: Unsupported File Format” and no further help at all. I’ve only used the FREE VIDEO CONVERTER, but even the FREE app converts more than the PAID upgrade version of most other video converter apps. In fact, it does so much that the the UI seems a bit scary at first to a basic user like me — the reason for giving a rating of 4/5, otherwise it would be ***** 5/5 *****

I can recommend this app to any Mac user with confidence...

Everytime I try to convert a file, it stpos and tells me there’s an error, but it doesn’t have any way to fiw it!

So far, great. All of a sudden an important event’s video which had not been accessible exited the Converter app perfectly clear and audible, even though it was an outdoor activity and there were backdrop distractions and wind. While it of course retained its original qualities and limitations, the Converter gave me access to footage that was important to me and that I had considered unavailable. Thanks!

Does exactly what it says and what I need. Easy to use with many convert options. I give it an A+.

yes exactly what i needed to convert some files that I recorded from the TV. Now I can watch them on my desktop. Good app. Thanks

NEEDED TO CONVERT TO NTSC AND MPEG 2. FIRST CONVERTER I FOUND OUT OF MANY THAT DOES BOTH. FAST. NO, REALLY. FAST. --------THANKS !!!!

This app works excellent as it promised. The alternative is to purchase a $5,95 video player for your video files, but why do that when you can just convert them with this app?! It can take quite some time to convert certain files, but they come out crisp and as expected when its done. Thank you for a great app that I will use for years to come. - your average guy

It errors everytime it tries to simply rewrap. This developer also has other versions of this software on App store and the same problem.

I’d rather use english version instead of Korean one. however, platform is easy to use.

Doesn’t work. It’s junk. It’s a waste of time. Period. Don’t bother getting it, doesn’t work.

I found this on the App Store when I needed to convert a home video packed in .vmw format, so I could get it into iTunes. This application works exactly as advertized, and I’ve been able to convert from any format I’ve found to Apple-friendly formats, PLUS I can take large videos and make mobile-friendly (iPhone, iPad) versions/sizes. Like I said, I can’t believe this is free - thank you Geranium!
